clinton is still in a new york hospital. she's been treated for a blood clot. now spokesperson for the secretary says doctors found the clot during a follow up exam for that concussion she suffered about two weeks ago. she is 65 years old. she had a stomach virus when she fainted due to dehydration and hit her head. that caused a concussion. secretary clinton is being treated with blood thinners for that blood clot. >>> it's 6:16. a san diego police officer is in serious condition after his patrol car was hit by a suspected drunk driver. the crash happened early sunday morning. sheriffs deputies say a suspected drunk driver was speeding reason a red light and hit the driver. it was trapped for nearly an hour before firefighters could get him out. the driver that crashed and the officer were not seriously hurt. and was arrested. >>> that leads us right to tara moriarty. you're talking about advising people don't drink and drive on this new years eve. >> definitely. no reason to do that with mass transit offering so many free rides. muni offering free rides from 8:00 tonight unti

the opening bell on wall street has just running. the new york stock exchange is being sold to arrival exchange for $8 billion and it is a big story and we will bring you the details throughout the morning. for now, we say good morning to you. thank you for joining us on ktvu channel 2 morning news, thursday december 20th, torii campbell is in for pam cook, your time right now is 6:31. we are tracking breaks news about an apartment fire. let's go to lorraine blanco. how did it happen and how is it affecting the commute? >> reporter: i'm not sure if you can hear me because i can't hear you guys but i can tell you what i know so far. there is a ladder truck on broad street, 119 broad street, it is a three-story apartment building which caught fire this morning and there was some heavy smoke on the second floor when firefighters arrived. it is in the rear of this three- story apartment building. all people were evacuated and they are all okay but a firefighter was injured and it sounds like he suffered from smoke inhalation. he has non-life threatening injuries and we are told there are 2
million to 20 million in various cities a long new jersey and new york and a lot of those towns are talking about whether to rebuild with wood or more durable materials. some of the locals say it is not a boardwalk without the woot but others say the wood is not strong enough. they are relieved to hear more than 500 workers walked off the job last month. they are providing a new four- year contract and it includes a cost of living pay raise for 2013 and 2014 and a $3,500 signing bonus. the port commissioner still has to approve the new contract. >>> police will are whapping for drivers for having a suspended lice since. if found, they will be arrested and could have -- license. if found they they could be arrested and could have their car impounded. >>> we are seeing more of the key spots as you might imagine on this monday. let's look at what we have on interstate 880, and it's windy as steve mentioned. i agree, just by looking, there are no major problems as you dry -- drive through and traffic is backed up beyond the 880 over crossing getting into the area. we have a trash at
